We don't rely on automated algorithms that miss screens or deflections. Every shot is graded by trained, independent analysts who understand the game.
Defensive Breakdown
Cross-crease passes, 2-on-0s. Complete defensive failure.
High Danger
Breakaways, pass-outs, danger zone screens. Elite-separating chances.
Medium Danger
Danger zone rebounds, gray net drives. Moderate threat.
Low Danger
Perimeter shots. Low percentage plays.

Goals Saved Above Expected
How many goals did you save (or surrender) relative to the difficulty of the shots you faced? This metric isolates your performance from your team's defense.
SVAx
Save% Above Expected
Measures efficiency relative to shot difficulty, independent of volume. Did you outperform the average goalie given the quality of chances you faced?
RVA
Rebound Value Added
Quantifies rebound control. When you make a save, does the play die—or does it create a second chance in the slot? This metric rewards puck-killing efficiency.
Your Defense Isn't Your Fault.
A bad final score doesn't mean you played badly. CreaseLogic isolates your performance from your team's defense.
A goalie with a .895 SV% on a weak defensive team might post a +2.5 GSAx. A goalie with a .920 SV% on an elite defensive team might post a -1.2 GSAx. The box score can't tell those two goalies apart. Advanced can.
